WHAT IS 50 BY 50?
Our Vision for Kenya's Green Future

Kenya's tree cover is estimated to be approximately 7.2 per cent of the country's total land area, according to data from the FAO. This is relatively low compared to the world's average of approximately 31 per cent tree cover.
However, it is worth noting that Kenya's tree cover has been increasing in recent years due to reforestation efforts. The EEC has recently joined this family of reformers, aiming to increase the country's tree coverage to 50% by 2050.

Elimisha Corner
A prototype of an ideal ecosystem - our vision brought to life on a small scale. This biospheric utopia serves as a knowledge hub for students from agricultural and environmental conservation clubs, housing botanical literature, saplings, and demonstration plots.
The Curriculum of Hope
We're developing an engaging curriculum on local flora, accessible both manually and digitally. Created with educators and botany experts, it will serve all ages while addressing environmental challenges through our periodical publications.
A Substantiated Campaign
Track the progress of 50 by 50 through our innovative platform where donors can adopt and virtually follow a tree's journey from seedling to canopy. This personalized experience transforms tree planting from a one-time act to a shared growth journey.
Embracing Synergy
We collaborate with national and international environmental organizations, believing in the power of diverse ideas and collective action. Together, we work towards the rehabilitation of our planet - a mission that unites all humanity.
